There is something deeply powerful about gathering with intention and creating spaces where women can reconnect with their intuition, set aligned goals, and celebrate the subtle shifts of the seasons.

Life can get busy, and it’s so easy to forget to gather with our friends. It’s hard enough to plan parties, let alone think of the hosting ideas!

To make things easy for you, here are several ideas for each month of the entire year. All infused with the magic of seasonal living.

JANUARY: Starting the Year with Quiet Magic

Manifesting Candle Circle: Invite friends to carve intentions into white candles, anoint them with essential oils, and light them together for collective manifestation.

Vision Boarding Night: Use magazines, photos, stickers, and pens to create dream maps for the year ahead.

Moon Tea Gathering: Offer a selection of herbs labeled with their medicinal properties. Have each friend brew their own blend for whichever energy they’re calling in for the year. Each guest can even choose a “guiding herb” for the year.

FEBRUARY: The Return of the Light

Note: February includes a Traditional Sabbat: Imbolc (Feb 1–2)

Imbolc Candle Dinner: Host a candlelit dinner with friends where everyone blesses and then lights a candle to represent the spark of new beginnings.

Seed-Starting Party: Invite a group of friends to each bring a seed-starting kit and an envelope of seeds with an intentional reason behind their choice. Together, everyone fills their seed-starting kit using all of the different seeds from everyone who comes. Any repeated seeds should be noted and discussed for possible themes to the year!

Brigid’s Creativity Circle: Have a crafting night with friends where everyone brings their own craft! Brigid is known for butter and milk, so consider fresh bread with butter as a snack for the night or a milk drink like golden milk!

MARCH: Spring is Coming!

Note: March includes a Traditional Sabbat: Ostara (~March 20)

Equinox Balance Dinner: Explore opposites! Serve dishes in pairs (light/dark, sweet/savory) and discuss what needs balancing in life. Learn why darkness is needed, even though you might be craving the return of the light.

Spring Clearing Circle: Out with the old! Ask friends to go through their closets, drawers, and cabinets and gather up items they no longer need or want. Have an exchange circle where friends can trade clothing, knickknacks, craft supplies, etc.

Garden Blessing Brunch: As a continuation of the Seed-Starting party of February, host a party where everyone can share the progress of their seedlings! You can start more seeds, transplant some seeds together, or create some sort of garden talisman for everyone to take home and place in their garden.

APRIL: Welcoming the Blossoms

Rainwater Ritual Night: Have your friends collect a jar of rainwater at home leading up to the party. Have everyone bring their jar of rainwater, infuse it with intentions and/or herbs for cleansing or creativity. This can be used as an offering to the garden, bottled up in a dropper for meditation support or witchcraft anointings.

Pink Moon Manifestation Night: Work with the energy of the April full moon by creating manifestation lists. Host with pink drinks, pink snacks, pink pens and/or paper. Let everyone leave your home feeling inspired and ready to step into their highest timeline.

Herbal Mocktail Night: Ask all of your friends to craft a floral drink with rose, hibiscus, lavender, or any other flowers! Then, create herbal mocktail flights of all of the drinks. Be sure to share the recipes and discuss the medicinal properties of each drink!

MAY: Fertility, Joy & Beltane

Note: May includes a Traditional Sabbat: Beltane (May 1)

Beltane Fire Blessing: Light a small fire or candle and invite guests to “jump” over it symbolically for courage and joy. Everyone can share what areas in life they are calling in their courage to face!

Flower Crown Workshop: Create flower crowns or wreaths using local blooms. You can wear them at the party, and then allow them to dry later at home so you can add a colorful decoration to your altar.

Garden Picnic of Abundance: Celebrate the returning Sun and the return of the blossoms with an outdoor picnic with colorful foods. You can start more seed-planting kits or plant seeds in a raised bed together as an activity.

JUNE: Sun Magic & Full Radiance

Note: June includes a Traditional Sabbat: Summer Solstice (June 21)

Solstice Sun Tea Party: Brew tea in the sun and infuse it with the solstice intentions of your friend group. Everyone drinks the tea together and bottles some up to take home.

Firefly Wish Night: Invite your friends to write their greatest wishes on paper and then burn them safely under the solstice sky, releasing them to the Universe. Everyone can share their wishes, but no one has to!

Seasonal Fruit Feast: Celebrate the sweetness of life with mangoes, berries, and honeyed dishes. Everyone brings a fruit to add to a big shared fruit salad.

JULY: Warmth, Courage & Creative Flow

Summer Dream Circle: Put out those goals set in January and adjust them with mid-year clarity. Tweak your manifestation lists for where everyone’s currently at.

Storytelling Fire Circle: Everyone digs up an old story or myth that interests them. Everyone takes turns sharing their chosen myth, legend, or story while seated around the fire. Bonus points for roasting marshmallows!

Abundance Altar Workshop: Work on altar decorations as a group. Everybody brings some sort of craft item to share: crystals, dried flowers, dried corn. Work on a shared craft such as a corn dolly or wheat weaving that everyone can take home to their altar.

Autumn Activities Bucket List: 33 Ideas to Warm Your Soul This Fall

AUGUST: First Harvest & Lughnasadh

Note: August includes a Traditional Sabbat: Lughnasadh/Lammas (August 1)

Bread-Baking Night: Bake bread together and think about the relationship your ancestors used to have with the harvest season. If you have anyone in your group that makes sourdough, ask them to bring some dough with them and flavor a few loaves together as a group. Rosemary Bread? Chocolate? Blueberry Lemon? Plain with butter?

Harvest Reflection Circle: Everyone lights a candle and creates a list of their “harvests” so far in life. What has everyone accomplished so far that you forget to be proud of? You can share some of your harvests or keep it personal.

Golden Harvest Dinner: Consider the indigenous foods of the land you are on. If you’re in North America, serve corn, squash, and beans and consider what it meant to celebrate a good year’s harvest. Everyone can bring a seasonal dish!

SEPTEMBER: Grounding & Second Harvest

Note: September includes a Traditional Sabbat: Mabon (~September 22)

Apple Magic Night: Use apples for divination, blessing, or crafting protective charms. Create apple candleholders for a temporary addition to everyone’s altar.

Seasonal Goal Reset: Pull out those manifestation lists again. How are things going? Have goals changed? A cozy gathering to refine goals for the final quarter of the year.

Autumn Altar Crafting: Slice up apples, lemons, limes, and oranges and dry them in the oven to make altar garlands. Discuss the coming “dark” season and how everyone prepares to integrate self care during those months.

Dia de los Muertos: the Beautiful Ritual that Let’s You Live Forever

OCTOBER: Mystery, Shadows & Samhain

Note: October includes a Traditional Sabbat: Samhain (October 31)

Day of the Dead Dinner: Set up a simple altar in the style of Mexico’s Day of the Dead. Everyone brings a photo or two for the group altar. Dinner can be potluck style, seated near the altar where everyone shares stories or memories about their beloved dead.

Scorpio Shadow Work Circle: Scorpio season calls for a deep dive. A guided ritual for exploring inner shadows with compassion.
Divination Salon: Tarot, runes, pendulum work — a night of intuitive exploration. Everyone can bring a deck and explore what divination means to them.

NOVEMBER: Stillness, Depth & Inner Wisdom

Gratitude Letters Gathering: Write letters to people (living or passed) who shaped your year. Letters to living loved ones can be mailed and letters to deceased loved ones can be delivered to the fire. Make it fun with nice stationary, wax seals, and colorful pens.

Warm Hearth Circle: Pull out the quilts! A cozy evening of blankets, storytelling, and soul nourishment. Where is everybody at? What has this year taught you? Did the intentions you set in January come true?

Candle Dipping Night: Buy beeswax from a local beekeeper, melt it down and create dip candles as a group. Alternatively, you can buy beeswax sheets and roll them into simpler candles. Everyone lights one and thinks about life before lightbulbs. How do you think your ancestors made candles?

Curiosity as Your Compass: How to Create a Personal Curriculum

DECEMBER: Reflection, Magic & Yule

Note: December includes a Traditional Sabbat: Winter Solstice (~December 21)

Oracle Night: Consider the upcoming year. What are you hoping to call in? Pull an oracle or tarot card for the year as a whole, and for each month of the upcoming year. Journal on what you think everything signifies.

Candlelight Collective Gathering: Light a bunch of candles (like maybe the ones you made in November!) A signature ritual night of reflection, manifestation, and sisterhood. Create new manifestation lists or vision boards.

Winter Wish Exchange: Decide on a theme for a gift exchange, but something simple. Handmade gifts? Candles? Books? Put everyone’s name in a hat, so that everyone has to bring a gift for one other friend. In addition, write a wish or blessing for every single person who comes. Everyone will receive one thoughtful gift and a handful of wishes!

Hosting Ideas: Why Gathering Matters

People who gather regularly live more fulfilling lives. Community matters. There is magic in gathering loved ones, especially women.

Remember that Pinterest is great for inspiration, but gathering in real life is always messier and less aesthetically pleasing than the professional photos online.

Focus on your intention for gathering. Why do you want to bring people together? Here are some ideas:

✨To uplift your friends by infusing magic into their lives
✨To connect with people who you don’t see often
✨To soak up the season of the year (Wheel of the Year style)
✨To model seasonal living for your kids
✨To make memories with your friends over time

May this year of magical hosting inspire you to bring warmth and magic into your life, and into the lives of your loved ones!
